picture perfect memories

You know how people say "a picture is worth a million words" it's totally true! You can say so much about a picture just by expressions on peoples faces, where the person is and what is going on behind them, I think music has the same effect. It's crazy when you can relate a song to a picture, then you can really truly give a good description of it, right? Okay , here are some examples... To me this one says "laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live" I think the song that best explains this picture is 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' by Cyndi Lauper. This is a picture of myself and one of my very best friends Chandler, we have been friends since we were little tykes, and have had so many laughs :)
This picture to me says "don't ever give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about" The song to go along with it would have to be 'Lucky' by Jason Mraz and Colbie Colait. This is a picture of my boyfriend Blake and I. I know that no matter what, any day and any time I can always count on him to bring me up when I'm feeling down :)

This is a picture of my high school cheer team, this past year was our first year together and I absolutely love this team! We aren't the best, we aren't perfect either, but we have been through so much together, and I wouldn't trade them for the world! So, what this picture says to me is "Most of our obstacles would melt away if, instead of cowering before them, we should make up our minds to walk boldly through them" The song I would choose to go with this picture would be 'Unwritten' by Natasha Bedingfield because we were the first, and we set the traditions as a cheer team and a brand new school...As I look back on all of my pictures, I think of all of the memories my friends and I have made throughout the years, and how many more of them there are to come. I am a very curious person and have so many questions that only time can answer. Pictures will help, but people will make the biggest difference. I love my friends and family, I can't wait to make memories with them.

Friends

Going into high school, everyone seems to always want to be in the "popular" group. I was thinking, isn't each person just as valuable to our world as the next? How then are you able to categorize people from "popular" to just an ordinary person? The way I think of it is that if you have friends that you trust and love, shouldn't that be enough? If you are happy, then why should you change your looks or the way you act just for a group that says you can hang out with them, but only if you do or wear certain things. I love my friends. We act like total nut cases when we are together, we can tell each other anything, and honestly I don't know what I would ever do without them. I am 100% me when I am with my friends, I don't ever have to pretend to be someone that I'm not for them to accept me. I feel like in middle school I didn't ever make a name for myself, I never stood up to my peers and said "HELLO WORLD, I AM ALLISON!" instead, I was that kid who hung out with a small group of friends (who I adored) and stayed inside a teachers room everyday for lunch, I was embarrassed to go in front of my class to talk because I would be afraid that someone would laugh or make fun of me...I am a different person now. This year I have made so many new and great friends, I am never alone, and I always know that no matter what life brings me, I will always have a friend at my side. I now know that people all have their own opinions about one another, and you can't change someones mind. But if you have great friends, you will get through any little drama, no matter what...I have found friends this year that will make those silly faces and take pictures and look like freaks with me, that will start the dancing at the school dances, that will be there when I need them, and most importantly, that will support me when I'm right, and tell me when to shut my mouth because I am totally wrong. I am now that person that will stand up and be heard even if no one wants to listen. I made my name, and there is no going back now, I am proud of who I am, and who I will always be, and that is me!

New Coming '09

This is my high schools first year being open, so we don't have homecoming yet because there isn't anything or anyone to come home to. Therefor, we celebrate it as new coming! This was our second dance this year, but this dance was very fun and important. My friendsand I were all looking forward to it from the very beginning of school. The theme of the dance was 80's so we all wanted to go 80's and get all "decked out." We had a football game in Hemmet about three weeks before the dance, and on our way home from the game we saw a HUGE forever 21! My mom was driving me and my two friends, and as soon as we saw the store we new instantly we would find our new coming dresses there! My mom asked if we wanted to go, and we of course said yes! We ended up spending four hours in one store! We all three found our dresses and went home. From there new coming just got better and better! We were super duper excited!!! Then, the Tuesday before the dance, I got asked by the guy that I have liked for a while. I said yes :) we had a great time, and I can't wait until the next dance!!!

Football Game

As you may know cheer is a huge part of my life and I love it! Well, we had our first home JV football game, and yes maybe our team didn't bring in a win...but I still had fun cheering! We had a double header that night, there was a Frosh game at 4 and then right after that game there was a JV game at 7. It was very tiring but it was so much fun! We did cheers, stunts, and the football players even got to run through us! It was very very exciting! We also got to run to the In zone twice! Sure our teams might not be state champions, but I love them anyways! and I hope that next year I make the varsity cheer team! Although if I don't its alright, I will love whatever team I am on! In the picture on the left the band is playing the national anthem and we are waving our poms, on the right our team had just kicked off the ball to the opposing team and we were waiting to start cheering!

Making friends and new memories

I recently started high school, and for most people starting high school isn't a big deal. For me it was huge! I am going to a brand new school that just opened this year, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to make friends very quickly, but I was wrong! I love my school and everyone that goes there! I tried out for the high schools cheer team before school started, made the team and also got the title of Captain! Since there are only two grade levels at my school right now, we thought it would make sense to have two captains, the other captain I have become very close to and will be friends with for a very long time! I love my team, we might not be the best just quite yet, but I know that eventually we will get there! Recently we have done a few team bonding activities, I hosted a cheer party for our team, we volunteered at a local thrift store, helping the workers dress manikins, clean windows, sort clothes and sweep floors, we also had a team dinner at Red Robin. We will be doing many more things to not only help the community but also to help our team! We had our first home JV football game last week and we cheered there. We all love cheering, being a part of a team and just being involved!
